I was given this book for Christmas as I was interested in a K9 position within my department and thought it would have some good background. It does provide a good broad overview on what goes into these dogs and what is required of the handlers. Some interesting military dog stories as well. Some of it is applicable to police K-9 work but a lot of it is war dog specific. Still recommend it to aspiring dog handlers.
